Verbal communication is the key with this game, an architect designs a structure with Duplo blocks, the communicator listens and delivers the design to a builder.
Kayaking
A popular outdoor pursuit, using the manmade lake at Vauxhall. This session aims to develop different skills, enjoying being on the water and having fun with a few games. This session blends team as well as individual achievement. (This activity may not be available at short notice due to low rainfall).
Laser Tag
One of our most popular activities, thinking about teamwork and tactics. Using the vast outdoor spaces of the campsite or transforming the Sports Hall into an indoor arena, we cover a variety of different games with different objectives, from knock out rounds to domination. (Offered in Basecamp 4 & 5 programmes)
Life Beads
An individual reflective activity, inspired by traditional West African culture of using beads as a means of telling your life story.
“Maasai” Herding
Inspired by the huge variation in oral communication around the world, we consider other means of communicating with one another. A human version of sheep herding, using only sounds, not words, to move your blindfolded team into the pen using your made-up communication style.
Nightline
A course, which on the face of it is easy to complete, with the catch being your sense of sight is removed with blindfolds. This activity encourages the group to use other senses to navigate and communicate to complete the course successfully. (Offered in Basecamp 4 & 5 programmes)
Race around Europe
A quick, active geography inspired competition. Get from one city in Europe to Ipswich, passing through many countries along the way.

Star Orienteering
A great way to get to know the campsite, as well as developing orienteering skills. A quick, competitive variation on a classic, teams are tasked with finding all the markers, as well as their observation skills being tested.
Swimming
This is purposely left to be a free time activity, allowing groups to splash around and have fun in the pool. A lifeguard is always present when the pool is open with groups.

Quiz
Developed to teach us differences from around the globe, this interactive quiz uses our different senses.
Water Races
A water race with a purpose, getting us to consider how water can be carried in many parts of the world. Carry a bucket on your head and fill up a barrel at the end of a field.
Weaving
A gentle creative activity, inspired by the arts and crafts traditionally seen in Morocco.
Low Ropes
A course designed to focus on teamwork. Made of different challenges, guaranteed to make people think in different ways. Perhaps easy to complete individually but encourages groups to consider how they help each other.
Zip Wire
Our zip wire has been constructed over the Vauxhall lake, where groups can zip down the wire, soaring above the heads of their friends below on the water. A great activity to challenge confidence and overcome fears.

All of our activities are risk-assessed, with many having individual risk assessments. To view these, please click here.
